Whether we pour our heart and souls into something or not, we still may need to sort things out and get to the heart of the matter. In comes the forsythia branch – maybe she can shed some light on the subject and we can flourish in a new perspective. But first…remember that bread recipe I promised?…not sure if you’ll “knead” it as much as I do, but none-the-less it’s delish.…

My head is WAY too big.– says retired woman that wants to show up her friends at book club
I LOVE them but they look ridiculous on me, ugh.– says the taxi mom with peanut butter stains from feeding her 3 year old lunch
My friend is always wearing a cute cap, I could never pull it off!– says the best friend that wants to be as confident as her hat-wearing friend

Life is busy, especially during this time of your life and as a mom of five myself, I too, struggled with wanting to feel put together after a full day of chasing kids, feeding the 5000, etc.
Let’s start with a simple question today:
Why do I want to add hats to my everyday wardrobe?
I got the answer hidden right here….
1. Handmade hats pulls together an outfit and makes YOU look put together
2. Disguises a bad hair day, because we all know that your hair may (or may not) have gotten washed this morning…or last night
3. Instant confidence after a crappy day at work
4. A shield from the world when you just wanna get your mail and go home
Join me and hundred’s of other women that learned how to beat the confidence battle while accessorizing with a hat!
Bound to be….helping you, too,
After an energetic hiatus of putting Christmas away, remnants of tinsel glisten in the carpet (and on the dog) while distant scents of pine cone candles linger. In addition to shiny and scrubbed floors the house is cleaned and ready for January traffic as “normalcy” resumes. Besides starting a new decade with a smile and a deep breath I reflect on 2019 with much gratitude, lessons learned and clarity and finding a Patch for That ……
Do you ever get that feeling you’re missing something? Whether it’s a joke or singing the wrong song lyrics since the 80’s. Ugh – we’ve all been there…and probably will be again. The Winter season is flying by and it’s not even Winter Solstice yet. Let’s poke our head outta the driveway snow bank and bond over a blue mug of coffee……
Envision yourself in a handmade hat and experience the feeling of freedom. Three reasons to wear hats is more than just throwing it on and heading out the door….…
Shopping handmade and local is just one little way to add a smile on someones face throughout the year. Handmade is best, ya know.
The tinsel is patiently waiting high on the garage shelf, the baking recipes are slightly crusted with the spatter batter of last year and the the big box stores are filling with eager shoppers that are “just getting ideas”. Although the season is but a sweet scent of raspberry turtle mocha away the hustle and bustle of the holiday season has begun. And for some local artisans it began months ago preparing for their busy season of creating.
The Holiday Boutique of local artisans this year consists of five artisans that I admire, not just for their wonderful work and talent but for their stories behind the creations.…
Our pets can bring us more than just sloppy kisses, they can bring us comfort, love, laughter and just plain cuteness. But in the name of getting right to this exciting news… NEW IN THE SHOP and cuter than ever are
dog leashes and collars. (As I’ve said before…more than just hats and bags).
