Why recycled earrings?
From loving creativity and unique style, the earrings I usually wear were not the cute factor that I wanted anymore. As a result I got the creative juices flowing using my fabric hat and bag scraps and made art! I really enjoy the fine, detailed motor skills I use when making these because it’s soothing, satisfying and just couldn’t keep to myself. Don’t get me wrong, I still LOVE making hats; however, sometimes creative inspiration comes when I don’t expect it and I must act on it!
In conclusion, these handmade earrings are so adorable, they’re happy art that you can wear!
Bound to be…creative!

What’s so special about the BEST SELLER winter beanie hat? Besides it being a cute fleece winter hat it hosts so many other attributes.
Created to Last
This winter fleece beanie is made with a quality hand and beautifully soft double brushed anti-pill fleece. A double layer of fleece over the ears will keep them toasty. The cute and short brim is just enough to add some uniqueness while keeping the snow from falling into your eyes. A little tiny arch in the back of the hat allows for scarf wearers and/or ponytails.
I was looking for a hat that would keep my ears warm, and so far this style seems to work well! The brim has been really helpful on windy or bright days. On super cold days I’ve been able to wear a thin ear warmer under my hat for even more warmth.– Katie, IL
Summer is in full swing and most days I can’t imagine leaving the house without one of my hats (or 3!). Here’s a list of my 3 favorite hats for summer and why I LOVE them! Enjoy……
It’s summertime ladies and you want to look cute, timeless and ready for pickle ball on Thursday without skipping a beat. Here are some quick tips on how to wear your visor and look cute this summer.
TIP #1 – short hair
Ladies with pixie short hair I recommend wearing your visor while leaving a few bangs visible or under your visor. First, take your glasses off, place the front of the visor on top of your bangs just above your hair line. Next, with a bit of pressure wrap visor around, at a downward slant, to the back. Using pressure keeps your hair from exploding over on the top of your visor. Next, press and close in the back at desired tightness. Throw your glasses back on. BONUS TIP: If your visor is slipping, it’s not tight enough. Keep at a comfortable level.
TIP #2 – medium length hair and bobbed locks
You have a couple of options here. You can wear your visor on top of your bangs, see TIP #1 for instructions, or you can wear your visor under those locks, here’s how. First, with glasses off and visor in hands, flip your hair totally upside down in a forward motion (and you thought those squats weren’t helping). Next, place the visor just above your hair line, wrap to the back of your nape and press close at desired pressure. Next, flip back up and let your hair fall where it may. BONUS TIP: Grab a hair clip and lift the top of your hair creating a messy but cute look
How to Wear a Visor and Look Cute
TIP #3 – long hair
You have many options here. You can wear your visor with hair down and flowing overtop the visor (see TIP #2) or you can throw your hair into a bun or ponytail. Going messy is fun, too. With ponytail, bun or hair clip in place, press front of visor to your hair line and wrap around to nape or back hair line. Apply some pressure and downward slant when wrapping to the back. Press and close at desired tightness. BONUS TIP: Pull out a few side hair strands. Messy is okay!
TIP #4 – for the sweaty ladies
Do you sweat? Me too. To get the longest wear outta your visor and keep it clean I recommend wearing a lightweight stretchy headband under your visor. Throw on your stretchy head wrap first and then throw on your cute visor. This creates a little barrier between the sweat and the gross sweat. BONUS TIP: To keep hair completely off your face do this: after getting desired visor fit, pull the visor down to your neck and lift back up to desired place while all your hair is above visor.
Your handmade visor is totally washable in gentle detergent and air drying!
Not gonna lie, the above photo is after a 5 mile run and Wow! …while not a pretty face this combo headband and visor did the trick!

Bound to be… going for a run with my visor,
This summer visor hat works hard in the summer. It’s my go-to for all things I love to do outdoors. Not to mention…finally, a summer hat you don’t have to sew. I mean, really. Allow me to do the sewing for you so you can continue doing what you love. Are you digging deep this summer with all the things that you’re destined to accomplish? Awesome – you rock!
Rinse and Repeat, with a different temperature
I have a summer to-do list. A looong list of things. Will I get to them? Not even close, but I’ve managed to accomplish quite a few within a matter of a days…just ask my kids. Give me a can of Kilz® armed with a paint brush and next thing ya know I’m painting the neighbors mailbox cuz I ran outta projects at my own house….did that happen? A girls gotta her secrets.

Trend colors come and go and the key to a good hat reversible hat is you get two sides to your hat. Whether your wardrobe is a full color wardrobe or you’re more of neutral gal – no problem. Because my handmade hats are reversible I suggest you wear hats with one side that’s neutral and the other side with a little more pizazz – just for fun!
