From ponytails to short hair learn how to wear your handmade hat. No matter the length of your locks, let’s bust the snarls out of how to wear your hair with a hat.
How to Wear Your Hat with Long Hair
There are multiple ways to wear your hair with your handmade hat. We’re shooting for quick fashion ladies, not dinner with the president.

Hair in Braids (above) If you know how to throw together a quick braid, fabulous!- you’re a step ahead of me. Braids can be worn down the sides like above photo or simply draped down the back. Braids can be youthful looking and expresses a bit of a fun and quirky side. Additionally, this custom hat for women is a great style to show off your favorite colors. It can also accent your hair color, your eyes and skin color, too.
Messy all around! (above) Yes, a handmade hat can be worn with messiness all around – it happens to be my specialty. Tame the messy hair with some locks around the face. If you want to hide any stragglers simply tuck them under the hat or let them wing-dingers fly. A good hair day with bangs falling around your face looks super natural as you rock the look. Quick tip: Wear your handmade hat with a messy bun or messy ponytail to the back or off to one side.
Messy Bun with a Sun Visor
Unlike wearing your hair with a full coverage hat let the messy hair fly (below). Look good in the afternoon poolside with friends. Uniquely, a summer visor offers up many ways to wear your hat. Due to second day hair maybe swoop your hair up top in a bun as in the photo. Show off a high ponytail, a low down bun or keep your hair down altogether! Moreover this summer visor is the perfect “in-between” handmade hat for those that sweat in the summer months (I get it).

Hair down with a Cloche Patches Hat (above)
You can wear a hat even on a great hair day! Gently wear your hair down as it will keep the flingers outta your face!

Wear your Hair in a Ponytail (above)
The ultimate easy hair trick with a hat is going with the standard a ponytail. First, twist your hair in a ponytail to the back. It will keep things active and your hair is out of your face while hiking. Instant functional fashion for your hair and this fleece earmuff hat for women.

How to wear your hat with short hair with a hat
This is one of my favorite myth busters. I’ve said it a thousand times – yes, your short hair can look fabulous in a handmade hat. Here are some examples of women with short hair wearing the Cloche Hats.

Hat Wearing with Short hair First of all, in photo 5, Emily is wearing her cloche hat slightly off to the side which makes room for her must-wear glasses. Notice that she is wearing her hat low down as to show some of her hair in the back, totally personal preference. In the other photo my mom is wearing her cloche hat further back off her face in addition to wearing glasses. Quick tip: tilt your hat to one side and adjust to desired fit for your face with glasses.
How to wear your Medium Length Hair with a Curvy Sister Newsboy Hat
In photo above, this reversible curvy sister newsboy hat was thrown on top of some curly locks and tucked slightly to the back for personal comfort. Medium length hair looks great with the hair down and free. If you have straight hair – super cute! Quick tip: Tuck your hair behind your ears and throw on this hat – I’ve done it and looks great!

No hair? No problem.
In photo above, the reversible slouchy jersey knit hats are comfortable, flattering and soft for women experiencing hair loss. Quick tip: For an extra added sass flip that hat lip up to expose the other side – boom, stylin’.
No matter the length of your hair- it’s important to be you! You can be confidently cute wearing your handmade hat!
