Life is messy enough we need both hands to keep up. From tying a scrunchy in a toddlers hair before soccer practice to training your gorgeous clematis in your garden to cleaning out the minivan after camping just before work. Life is messy and going hands-free is more than just using a HIP Mini’s during daily chores. Let’s get into a hands-free convo about life, HIP Mini bags and summer.

Trying too hard to avoid the mess
Not only did I see it on the pavement, I made a mental note to avoid it. Things were set up around it because I thought it was avoidable by just not seeing it…and then it happened anyway – I stepped in it. Yep, ooey-gooey nasty gum on a hot day. No matter how hard we try to avoid the mess, we’ll step in it anyway. Go hands-free during the “ooey-gooey” moments and don’t try to avoid it.
I love this bag! The size is just perfect for toting my phone and a few little essentials. Thank you!!” – Tracy, VT
Ya need both hands to go hands-free honey
Just when you think that you’ve freed yourself from the sticky mess of life there’s residue left over. Have you ever bought some dishes and tried to peel off that dreaded sticky part from the bottom of the dish? Yeah – in a perfect world that sticker comes right off with one gentle, satisfying pull and yes – sometimes life can be like a gentle, easy, satisfying pull. BUT (yes – a big but) sometimes that sticker is a sonofagun and has to be scrapped and picked at until your damn fingers nails are tarnished and just when you think it’s gone there’s sticky paper on your pants, on the floor and everywhere else. Point being is that sometimes you need both hands to deal with the mess.
When a sticky situation arises and you need to go hands free do this to stay sane:
► take a deep breath, exhale more than you inhale
► walk away from the situation
► “get back into your body” – wiggles fingers and toes, for real
► phone a friend
► don’t let emotions take over
► it’s okay to think logically
► think before you act
► remember “when in doubt do nothing” – my mother’s wise words

Life is Messy Go Hands-Free

I have too many bags already – cool, me too
From big bags to little bags our closet hooks lurk with favorites and not so favorite ones. When you’re on the go and need a hands-free bag grab the one that will be your bestie in the moment. Shameless plug – mine happens to be the HIP Mini. From dreaming of the design to using it nearly every summer day – it’s my personal BFF in the thick of messy life.
right sized, well made and fun!” – Lauren, NY
Perfection! Small enough to be out of the way and yet large enough to hold everything I need. This is love.” – Jenny, NC

Peonies, saxophones, coffee, fabric hair ties….on repeat
The summer has it’s own smells and sounds as does every season, but this particular season is sweeter and quieter. Although there’s plenty of trumpet, piano and saxophone harmonies filling the walls, they’re sounds of sweet silence. The peonies waited just long enough for me to smell them, but alas the lilacs shed their sweetly spent tiny flowers as I tried to give them an ego boost amid the irises.
