So the weather will eventually get nice again – but how nice? This is how Bound to be Creative dresses for her OOTD (outfit of the day) in mid-April. Hat? – um, yeah! Jacket?….
Everything is just peachy…really
No jacket required. A grey boyfriend button down, an aztec-print scarf and a cloche hat all coordinate together with ease, oh and the $3 white lace topper isn’t too shabby either, it covers nicely over the stripes. Truth be told, the striped button down doesn’t like to stay button – so the lace shirt has a purpose. Fashion + function = awesomeness. Speaking of shabby, this is my apparal version of shabby chic! (I know the “shabby chic” look isn’t anything new, but c’mon I’m no spring chicken anymore). Visually speaking, picture yourself sitting on an old white, rusty-ish bed frame in the middle of a wheat field with lace curtains drapped on shoulders silently blowing with the wind. If I had cowgirl boots, that would just be going the extra country mile (how’s that for an Earth Day visual?). Okay – back on topic. This outfit is on point for a casual day strolling your local boutiques, coffee with a friend or visiting with mom on Mother’s Day (May 14) or walking in that wheat field.
Top it off
The peach cloche hat pulls all the colors together as the gingham band puts a little punch in the hat-cuteness catagory.
Because this handmade hat is just as cute on the other side it was tough to choose which side to wear!
