Seriously, the wind earlier this week had me at…shutter-buster-window-whistlin’-hold-on-to-your-hats! I was actually worried about not getting to my meeting out of town because of the wind. Call me a pansy or an introvert, either way, I voted to get there or be square. Here’s how I layered up after my brain refused to wear a coat.
Hair don’t care
I used to worry about people judging me or I would anticipate “the look” when I walked into a room with certain outfits. Over time and with age came confidence even for the smallest outings. Jeans have become a staple next to pajamas for me and not to mention hats (under this particular hat is a couple of days of unwashed hair…fer real). Truth be told, people ain’t lookin’ and people ain’t carin’. But I care and that’s enough.

Put a layer on it
Again, refusing to wear a winter coat I threw on the classic jean jacket. I knew the wind was a fierce hair factor and I already had the hat on – check (again, no hair wash – check, check). It’s worth noting this hat is four years old and I love it because corduroy is like wine – it gets better with age. So, as I listened to the wind howl a chill went down my spine and I dug my no-winter-coat heals in further and threw on a scarf and not to mention I was running out of time.
