I have soft spot for this hat. Glad you asked….
The Trucker Hat is an “I’m tough” sorta hat-feelin’ when I throw it on. When I wear this handmade hat, most of the time my hair is fancy free and not constrained by bands or clips. My mood changes a bit to rebeliscious (of course it’s a real word). The Trucker Hat makes me want to kick up some dust on country roads in 4-wheel drive, heck – make that a stick shift and might as well throttle some donut holes in the middle of the road and call it, well…. feelin’ tough.
BUT today, my friends – it’s the perfect opportunity to show you how a handmade hat can look great on a no makeup-bread-baking-go-for-a-walk-in-my-blacktop-neighborhood weekday! Who’s with me? YES!!!!
Without stating the obvious, my shades are a must in the sun (something about being 40-ish messed up my eyes). I’m sporting my favorite jeans and a pair of hiking shoes, oh yeah and that coral coat again – shocker. My hair is untamed (obviously) and I have no rhyme or reason to my outfit- it’s a ho-hum Tuesday, remember? Just returning from a windy, chilly-ish walk and the 14 wale corduroy was the key to keeping the wind out. Yes, corduroy.
My attitude feels put together with the thought of an unbridled country ride with just me and my
handmade Trucker Hat.
Throw it in Reverse!
Coincidentally, I have several John Deere tractors staring at me from the paper I was holding. Call me strange, but I dream of riding lawn mowers. Once upon a time we had a riding lawn mower -the end.
The reverse side of the Trucker Hat puts the big C in C.U.T.E.! It doesn’t really match my coral coat but who cares! I’d wear this dreamy plaid flannel with zig zag pajamas any day of the week! Pairing the blue corduroy with the flannel was a tough decision when making this Trucker Hat. It has so many different colors to match; however, the choice ended up being a powder blue corduroy because it was a go-with-anything color. I knew it would match several of my outfits – sort of like a charcoal grey, only blue.
